To meet the specific requirements of customers, traditional Tier 1s will re-design sub-systems across the battery pack, inherently introducing fresh risk, cost, and uncertainty to the programme.

We’ve built a flexible hardware architecture, enabling us to serve the full range of customer requirements, whilst leveraging existing validation and testing. IONETIC’s architecture supports 100,000's of different pack configurations, built around four different cell form factors, and a range of battery chemistries.

Setting up new battery manufacturing lines is expensive, lengthy, and inflexible. Tooling and investment is centred around a specific battery pack design, resulting in an inability to scale and adapt to future needs of the business.

In the same way silicon chip production facilities are capable of manufacturing thousands of different chip designs, we’ve engineered a novel battery pack fabrication system, in partnership with Rockwell Automation. This enables us to take our hardware into series production 3x faster than traditional approaches.
